About Our Organization
Alzheimer's Association - Heart of America Chapter
The mission of the Heart of America Chapter is to provide education and leadership to enhance care and support services for those affected by Alzheimer's disease while supporting efforts to eliminate the disease. Our extensive array of services are offered to more than 50,000 individuals and 200,000 family members and caregivers in our 66-county service area suffering the emotional, physical and financial challenges of Alzheimer's disease.
Our services include a 24-hour HelpLine and Spanish HelpLine, more than 60 support groups, educational workshops and conferences for family members, professional caregiver training sessions, individual and family care planning, the Memory Matters quarterly newsletter, Family Service Fund, and the Mollie Tivol Alzheimer's Family Resource Center.
The Heart of America Chapter is supported by the community through donations, program grants, and participation in fundraising events. As the need for services continues to grow and the Chapter serves a larger population, your support is more important than ever.
